HOW TO PREVENT COMMON ILLNESSES IN YOUR PET

1. COMMON DISEASES AND HOW TO PREVENT THEM
Hip dysplasia (large breeds)
It affects dogs such as German Shepherds and Labradors. Maintaining a healthy weight is key, as being overweight worsens the condition. A diet rich in Omega-3 fatty acids and glucosamine supplements is recommended, as well as avoiding high-impact exercise on hard surfaces.

Heart disease (small breeds)
Breeds like the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel are prone to heart failure. Regular veterinary checkups, low-sodium food, and moderate exercise are essential to prevent complications.

Dental problems
Brachycephalic dogs like Bulldogs tend to accumulate tartar. Brushing their teeth at least 2-3 times a week with dog toothpaste and providing dental treats helps prevent oral infections.
Skin allergies and dermatitis
Allergies can be triggered by the environment, food, or low-quality products. Using hypoallergenic shampoos, collars made of natural materials like genuine leather , and maintaining a well-balanced diet reduces the risk.

2. CARE ACCORDING TO THE STAGE OF LIFE
Puppies (0-1 year)
Prioritize initial vaccinations (distemper, parvovirus, rabies) and deworming. Provide them with puppy-specific food containing high-quality protein and calcium to strengthen growing bones and teeth.
Adult dogs (1-7 years)
They need exercise to stay active, preventing obesity and anxiety. A diet appropriate to their activity level helps prevent diabetes and gastrointestinal problems.
Senior (7+ years)
Osteoarthritis and kidney disease are common in older dogs. Offer chondroitin and glucosamine supplements for joint health, and low-phosphorus food to protect their kidneys. Increase the frequency of veterinary visits for early disease detection.

3. IMPORTANCE OF A HEALTHY LIFESTYLE
Just as we value maintaining a healthy lifestyle with habits like getting sunlight, exercising, and eating a healthy diet, our best four-legged friend should also reflect that self-care with appropriate products and habits. These values are the pillars of the Golden Cooper Club community.
Encourage socialization in parks or dog events, promoting their emotional well-being.
